Food & Water Safe in GC?

Food and water are at least as safe as what you get at home. Most of the water is provided by desalination facilities, which would tend to be less likey to be contaminated than typical water sources for major US cities. Most of the food is imported from the US, with name brand products anyone would know.

"Safe" is probably not a good word as far as water goes. I understand that it's as good as in the US. But know that it is DIFFERENT. Everyone's body will handle it differently, too. I did get sick (not terribly) from drinking the water (it was the only thing I had on the island). It's kind of like when you travel just about anywhere in the US-some people's bodies will adapt more easily to the local water and they won't notice anything. And a handful of people may experience a little nausea, etc.
