IsItTimeToCruiseYet? Posted July 14 #1 Share Posted July 14 Hello: My spouse and I are Elite Plus and have sailed on many Celebrity cruises over the years. As much as we enjoy the E-Class ships and the updated interiors of other class ships, most of the furniture is extremely uncomfortable. The designers didn’t take into consideration that passengers may have physical limitations. Low seating, deep sofas/chairs make it nearly impossible to get in and out of. Low back and metal back chairs don’t help those who have back problems. Loungers in the Solarium don’t go up all the way, so you are always slanted. The tiny round seats are only used when there are no other seating options available from what we witnessed (EX: E-Class Martini Bar, Retreat Lounge). The sofa in the stateroom is very firm and difficult to sit on for any length of time. The balcony chairs on the E-class ships are uncomfortable and there is no footstool. My question is... Will Celebrity offer various styles of furniture to assist those who have disabilities and/or severe back problems? Your response would be greatly appreciated.
