Hi everyone! Seasoned cruiser here but have not taken one since January of 2020. We are crusiing on The Carnival Sunshine in November. I prefer to avoid the cruise lines exursions, but just wondering how much some things have changed in 4 years. Are there any of the Dolphin or Pig Encounters that allow you to book on your own rather than with the cruise ship?

I have never been to Bimini so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Resorts world in Bimini and I always go to Breezes Resort in Nassau. At the port just go to the center and ask for a ride to Breezes. It will be 10$ a person for the ride and 100$ a person at Breezes. Everything is included, drinks, food, beach and towels. The unlimited food and drinks including alcohol are great.

Tons of stuff to do in Nassau. (Walking tour on your own, Plenty of beaches/pool days Margaritaville right at the port area, etc. )

Bimini is a tiny island (like 7 or 9 miles long and super narrow. You can see all the way across from the lido deck of the ship) We just did the Resorts World excursion through Carnival, but I'm pretty sure you can just catch the free tram there (as it is one of the three stops) and save a few $$$$$$$.

Thanks for the info about Breezes. If it were just the two of us it would be an easy decision but I am paying for 6 people. I just need to fugure out if we would eat/drink enough for the extra $40.00 Breezes would be.

$360 sounds better than $600 of course but there is a difference in price and cost.

Is the water color just as pretty at both? I know BC is near the port and the water is pretty there. Not sure where Breezes is. I am taking my 80 year old mom (who does get around good) an she's never been anywhere so for that reason I would most likely pick where the prettiest water color is.
