Transfer to Airport with Senior

I’m trying to figure out how to get from the port to Hobby airport with my mom, who cannot walk a great distance without getting winded. We usually drive to port but are flying in the day before and taking an Uber to port.  One of my concerns is the timing. She’s an over packer so it may take me some extra time to get bags and then walk out to transport options.   I also need to walk really slowly and take frequent breaks for her. Are the shuttle services close to the terminal exit or is there a lot more walking to get to a pickup area?  Any recommendations on transportation options?  What is the usual off board time that is safe to arrange for a pickup?  I’m nervous about ride shares due to availability as well as surge pricing.
