Question re: Aft Large Balcony Cabins on Icon

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi there.  We are very frequent RCCL cruisers, but we've never sailed on the Icon.  We are planning back-to-back Icon cruises (Eastern/Western Caribbean) in late February/early March.  We obviously wanted to have the same cabin for both sailings, ideally. And we don't want to do the infinity balcony, so we are only focusing on the large ocean view balcony category.  By the time we started looking, only VERY aft large ocean view balcony cabins were available (we usually choose mid-ship).  We ended up holding 11750, which is the very last aft cabin before it switches over to the wake-facing suites (i.e. it's right next to a sunset suite that faces the wake).  It would be the same as 11350 on the other side if you're looking at the Icon deck 11 deck plan.  Has anyone ever sailed in either one of these cabins?  I guess I'm suspicious because it's still available so I'm worried it's super bad!  I would appreciate any experiences/thoughts/counsel!  Thanks in advance!

I sailed in the cabin right above on deck 12.  Enjoy the balcony and the view...both are fabulous.  It would be a long walk for some though.
