Rome advice near St Peters station

Question..... We spent 4 days in Rome before and saw some of the major sights at that time (Colosseum and Palatine, Pantheon, St. Peters, Vatican, Trevi Fountain....). This cruise we have a day in Rome and just booked the Rome on your own tour which basically takes you via high speed train back and forth. It drops you at St Peters station. Then we have 5 hours on our own to explore. Any suggestions on something to see in that area. We are not looking for museums but more wandering and local culture.I don't recall if that area is conducive to that? Any suggestions?
