We took the public bus to 7 mile beach

It was very easy to take the bus to 7 mile beach. You catch the bus next to the library which is one block from the tender port. Just walk out the port to the traffic light and cross the street. Walk down the street away from the port and you will see the library. We took the #2 bus. The buses are more like 12 passenger mini vans with PUBLIC BUS across the windshield. It's 2.50 US per person so we just gave the driver $5 when we got off.

Our plan was to get off the bus at one area of 7 mile beach, walk down the beach and catch the bus back at another area. We got off at Governor's Beach which has portapoties and a few picnic tables but nothing else. We took a right at the water and had a beautiful walk along the beach It was very uncrowded with plenty of places to set your towel down. We found some shade and went for a swim. We continued our walk and came to Public Beach. It was very crowded. They had beach lounges for rent but they were very close together and 4 rows deep. You could not walk between the chairs but we found a place to get off the beach. There was bathrooms and showers also several food trucks. We walked out to the road and easily found the bus back to the port.

The buses run about every 5-10 minutes. When we got to the road at public beach we saw a bus pull away and missed it. There was another bus 2 minutes later. We were the only ones on the bus so the driver dropped us right across the street from tender port.
