allygator Posted March 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2006 Looking for a basic hotel for one night pre-cruise at the end of May. Budget is under $100. We're arriving around 9:30pm (12:30am EST). Figured we should find something near the airport since we're getting in late and head to the pier in the a.m. Has anyone stayed at the Sleep Inn by the airport? Other recommendations would be welcomed. How much is a cab ride from the airport hotels to the pier (the one for Celebrity which I believe is further away)? Also, would like to stock up on water, diapers and such the next morning. Is there a supermarket or store near the hotel? Are there any within walking distance of the pier? Any help would be much appreciated.
vanman Posted March 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2006 I've stayed numerous times in the airport area and always use Priceline. Usually can get a 3 star hotel for $50 depending upon the day of the week. Have recently stayed at both the Radisson and Doubletree at the airport. You might also try Hotwire.com. I'm sure you'll find something for well under $100. I don't recall any supermarkets within walking distance of the hotels. There are a couple of small stores in the area. Spender Nui Posted March 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2006 Sorry .. I had to do this I thought it was "SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE". That being said, vanman has given good suggestions.
dst Posted March 29, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2006 I live in Seattle and when I need to be at the airport we always stay at the LaQuinta, they offer a shuttle and the rooms (not fancy) are clean; also includes a quick breakfast in the morning. In the morning you can take a taxi to the Pier (25.00) the only real area to shop is the Pike Place Market but that is a bit of a walk, I would suggest having your taxi driver stop at a store for you, you will pass lots of them. They won't mind doing it and then head to the boat..... Enjoy your cruise :)
