oops complete first post here:

Prior to stay we drive from Vegas area. We really like Marriott Courtyard Torrance on Supelveda. No free breakfast but on site, but have a bistro and lots of fast food, sit down restaurants nearby as well as a Vons & Target nearby. Building older but updating and enjoy balcony rooms can sit out and enjoy the air. (Absolutely no smoking in building or balconies.) Easy on to Freeway 110south, this cruise on ramp closed, so used alternate route. 22min time although it said 28min. Parking still $23/day.

Inside surprised at how busy as had 10am VIP checkin. They were confiscating any plastic water bottles with liquid in them. Our empty in carryon went thru as plan use later. We also had hydro flask insulated tumblers on side of carryons- no problem had some ice & water in them.

Next was the “dog” security line for “drugs”. We were about 40 passengers in front of us first ten told put bags by outer rope. There were five dogs sitting there and rotating. The golden lab indicated three bags & were pulled- dog so excited jumping over bag for toy reward. Next ten walk by no bag putting on ground. Next ten (group in front of us) put bags by rope. Next dog nothing. Our group walk by. Only three in front of us, one diamond, and handicapped. Boarded 10:45pm, Can still drop bags in room as VIP then leave it immediately. Went to get in lido elevator they were insistent do muster drill deck four. (In my mind um I am eating first, give up table then do muster) we have been on this cruise 8 times since covid as can drive and doing interior always for this route as “seen it.” So in elevator, hit level 4 & 8 and went to deck eight.

Can't Wait to Read More.

yes, didn’t buy wifi package so relying on picking up Catalina signal. Able to get it in lido only on port side that is facing island.

Yesterday for first time ate in lido and were going to do our anytime dining late just for dessert. Alas, too tired watched Bobby Flay Triple Threat and zonked out. We dub the cruise Bobby Flay as seems some HGTV version is always on during cruise. I will get screen shot of tv channels and post.

day lunch buffet:

I may have to post photos once off shop due to wifi and file size. So will try and collect all buffets as do not see them too often.

Catalina we have rented from Island Rentals golf carts in past twice so just chose to casual walk. We always stop at the Catalina Conservancy a nice gift shop for all family ages, a few learning facts, and if go to back of shop and right, elevator to 2nd floor bathrooms and third floor nice patio lookout spot. First time after eight Radiances cruises did the view. We also bought a very thick nylon bag that if turns inside out can self store and carabiner clip to you.

We also did a new free experience went to Catalina island Historical museum. Gift shop inside is free and as go into right back a nice very comfortable movie theater showing continuous loop of “reels” on history of Catalina. Very interesting, cool, and could nap there. Oh they also have paid museum art but could see some thru glass no cost. Not an obsession but another bathroom opportunity 😀Well, all for now- no fun writing and photos not posting.

TO BE CONTINUED.. will try to answer questions though ass get signal.

Still working on getting photos resized. I have all buffet menus from lido for lunch & dinner.

Just an FYI, on Carnival Radiance the USB port by desk side did not charge my iPhone 15+. So bring a charging block and cord just in case. It charged a smaller item, so wasn’t the usb port.
Muster E was the Main showroom- Liquid Lounge and prior cruise our cabin was next door and was Muster D which was outside on Starboard deck 4.
