DO I need wifi plan if I have ATT cruise plan??

Hello All, 

We haven't sailed in 6 years and we leave in a few days. Long ago, we never got wifi, we could use our ATT phone without issue. Now I  know ATT offers a cruise plan for $60 for the month but I don't know if we need the ships wifi plan in order for this to work. At $60 it is cheaper than the wifi plans. I need to text with the kids while gone and maybe check on my ebay business. Has anyone used the ATT cruise plan, are there any issues? thanks for your help.

You do not need the ship WiFi for the AT&T plan.  But beware, the data on the AT&T plan is very limited.  We get the AT&T plan for text and calls but still get WiFi for data needs.
