Destination Highlight: Rural East

Day 3 - Djupivogur, Iceland
Hoffellsjökull Glacier has now retreated a considerable distance, leaving a deep glacial lagoon in its wake. The area around the glacier is the habitat of several rare Icelandic plants and a great variety of birds. Take advantage of a 30-minute stop among these tranquil surroundings to explore on your own; then you will head to a local horse club where you will get a private horse show. A refreshment of local Icelandic pastries will be served and you will have the opportunity to meet some of the farm’s residents—pure-bred Icelandic horses.

As your question is Celebrity specific, consider crossposting on the Celebrity Board where passengers who took this tour would be more likely to see it and respond.  This one

No matter which excursion you choose I don’t think you will be disappointed in what Iceland has to offer.  If it is a Big Bus tour with a less then enthusiastic driver/guide combined with an inherently poor PA system then it could be a long day.  You may not be comfortable with private tours but check out Tinna Adventures for both Djupivogur and Seydisfjordur.  They offer small group tours and the owner/guide lives there.  They offer a 50% refund if the ship fails to dock which is better than other companies.  The other 50% should be covered under your Trip Insurance Policy.
