Eurodam and Koningsdam in Juneau Harbour on September 30, 2024

As I said on another thread they knew this weather was coming. We left Saturday and magically this forecast appeared. ?? I don’t think so. The letter from the Captain putting us in Juneau was dated the 29th ..one day after we departed. Hmmm. Sticking us in Juneau cost them nothing compared to cancelling the cruise..which is what they should have done.

Right now it looks like a pretty decent day for Juneau and at least you are safe. I second the Alaska State Museum as a great place to visit! The new museum can occupy you for a few hours.

Why should they have cancelled ?

just because it is only Tuesday and so far we have cancelled one port, been held captive at another, have had no live TV, no music channels, shops and casino are closed because we are in a port, etc ?

Nothing to do but eat…yum, yum.  😋

For them it was about money. For the customer the best places are cancelled. If you are happy that’s great. Glad you like the food…we think it is average cruise food…

I’m glad they didn’t cancel. Do I wish they hadn’t cancelled our ports yes, but am glad they kept us safe. Our stay in Juneau today was beautiful. Still so far a great cruise on board the Eurodam.
