wayne_trisha Posted September 30 #1 Share Posted September 30 Hello everyone! Certainly not new to cruising or MSC. Been on around 50 cruises and 7-8 MSC cruises on Divina, Seaside, and lately Seashore since we are 20 minutes from Port Canaveral. Couple months ago we did an Aurea Jr Suite. Cruising again very soon in the Yacht Club. We watched numerous videos on YC. I understand the following: 1. Get on first and get off when we are ready. 2. i understand at least I think I do the expereince in the YC, food, drinks, service, etc. I am not sure about show reservations. 3. Got some water shoes for Coean Cay. Anything else we need? 4. what about speciality coffees? we are very early risers, like before 5 AM on a normal basis. Can we get them at top sail or have to venture out? I don't mind at at 5 AM the ship is very very quiet. i find people like me, older type, just enjoying a nice quiet. 5. Where are the seats for shows? want to enjoy some good seats. 6. Anything else you want to add? We love MSC! having lived in Eurpe for almost a decade we certainly enjoy the experience. 7. THANKS! Getting on Oct 10th for the three day.
The Dad Posted September 30 #2 Share Posted September 30 Can help with a few answers 1) You have no arrival time and will be taken right on. You still need to be out of your room by a set time (ask your butler), but can have breakfast in the YC dinning room. Since the boat is being turned around, they will be a set time in the US you must be off; I understand in Europe this may be different. 2) There is a section for YC. Your butler will escort you down. No reservations needed.

March to August is sea lice/ jellyfish season. May to October is seaweed season February March and August September is red tide season. So it appears the best time to swim in the Ocean is November, December and January. P.S. Bring bathing attire as YC beach is not a nude beach. chrisgp999 Posted October 2 #4 Share Posted October 2 The YC seating in the main theater to towards the back. IMHO not the best view. DW and I always ask our butler to escort us to the front row. They have always obliged.

It is even a better treat when there are children that rush in past us older folk into those coveted seats and save as many as they want for their family members. And your butler tells them to move, these seats are reserved.

That said, the reaction from steerage class "adult" passengers can be quite amusing.

Of course, the front row center (or side) is also an option with a butler escort. 2 hours ago, morpheusofthesea said: It is even a better treat when there are children that rush in past us older folk into those coveted seats and save as many as they want for their family members. As much as we like Explora Journeys, it does not come close to Royal Treatment of its suite/residences as does Yacht Clubs.
