Some Info on Maltings Beer & Whiskey Bar please on Jewel......

Hey folks-We are sailing the Jewel in Nov.,and I was wondering what this bar was all about? Do they have draft beer,if so which ones? Do they make their own beer (probably not) ? Do they have all kinds of Whiskeys to try? Anybody remember prices? Thanks!

I sailed on the Jewel in February. This bar does have draft beer. It was not a huge assortment, but in addition to the typical fare like Budwesier, they also had Samuel Adams, Bass Ale and Guiness on tap. (I don't remember there being any homemade options). As for price, I seem to recall that it was pretty reasonable -- something like $5 or $5.50 for a 20-24 oz glass -- compared the hefty $10 cost for a specialty martini at the martini bar right next to it. I couldn't tell you about all the whiskey options. But, they must have a decent selection because I seem to recall a "whiskey tasting" class being offered on one of the sea days. I've seen wine tastings before, but never a whiskey tasting.
