Ensenada tour questions

We are booked on the 4 day Baja in October. We have two boys, 4 and 7. We are interested in going north to the Foxploration Studios. Anyone know if it easy to get there without booking through the ship? Also what else is there to do there. We are accustomed to the longer caribbean itineraries but thought that this would be a good one to take the kids.

They might also like the blow hole. My 6yr old daughter really enjoyed it in February

Fox studios is in Rosarita Beach. (Just south a bit) It is pretty far from Ensenada. I hear the tour is nice but it will be a long bus ride. I wouldn't take a taxi. I do think the blow hole would be more fun for them because of the distance to Fox Studios.
