TerriRN Posted April 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2006 My husband and I have sailed Century and Millie in the past 5 years and are considering booking the Galaxy transatlantic in May 2007. Can anyone give me info on good cabin selections, specifically the 1200/1201 CC on the Sky deck? Are the verandas really bigger there? And is the aft vibration issue as bad as it was at times on the Century? Also, can anyone compare food quality between Century and Galaxy? We loved the food on Century, but were a little disappointed in the Millie's food and service. How does Galaxy compare in that mix? Thanks for your input. It's appreciated. cujosmom Posted April 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2006 Terri, I'm interested in this itinerary, too. Do you have any information as to when the acutal dates will be showing up? So far there is nothing at Celebrity's website for Galaxy's transatlantic for May 2007.
TerriRN Posted April 2, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted April 2, 2006 No info on dates yet. I'm hopeful that it will be soon. I'd really like to get this booked as we're planning to travel with friends. Logistics for four, requesting vacation time and working around children's schedules may take more than a year to arrange. And we have a daughter graduating from college next May. I'm hopeful that won't prevent us booking this TA, but it may. Think if we ding the Celebrity website often enough they'll get the hint? <G> Terri

Terri You know, we did that cruise last May. We had a spectacular time...and, we only had one day of cloudy skies and, some mist..precluding Susan from sitting by the pool every sea day. The seas were great! :D We loved the meals on the GALAXY. :D We enjoyed the cruise so much, we are crossing in a couple of weeks on the CONSTELLATION, but, it is only an 8 day cruise vs. 16 on the GALAXY. Sometime, I would like to take that cruise back from Rome, to gain some of those 25 hour days going home. (I think it is 8 25 hour days on the return...vs. 8 23 hour days going over....) :D

It was a wonderful experience, but losing an hour a night and the long flight home were a bit of a bummer. We decided we'd do a west bound next time, but changed our minds, fearing the weather will take a good bit out of our pool time on the fall TA. We're eagerly awaiting the TA schedule for 2007. Thanks for the info. Terri
