Can you be claustrophobic AND go cave-tubing?

I'm slighty.. okay, decently, claustrophobic. How dark is it? How low and closed in does it feel? How long are you in the darkness?

It sounds so cool! I want to do it.. I think I could, but, I don't want to get freaked out at the last minute.

Any info is greatly appreciated!!!

I would describe myself as moderately claustrophobic. My daughter is much worse than I am. She doesn't like elevators and can't be on one with more than a couple of people. We did a cave-tubing trip several years ago and I don't think it ever even occurred to her to be scared. It is very dark, but I (we) never felt closed in. I would say that it is such an amazing thing to do that it is worth staring your fears in the eye over! We're doing the combo ct and zip line tour next week in Belize!!:) We're sooo excited.

Do it! And have fun!

Shelly
