libramitch Posted April 2, 2006 Author #10 Share Posted April 2, 2006 Smile!!!! I already find this thread to be more humerous than negative. It is all from what perspective you look at it. I love reading the boards. Have met a lot of great people on the board. Have learned a lot from the information posted on the board. Would not ever consider doing a cruise without consulting the board. You have to take the good with the bad. All part of life. And it is great that you can post your opinion on the board as well as read the opinions of others. X is our line of choice. We think the grass (even with some of the weeds) is greener on this side!! frchteaze Posted April 2, 2006 #11 Share Posted April 2, 2006 I was wining after dinning, but not dining. I went to the casino and wasn't winning, so I started whinning, not whining. Don't you just love spell check? :D
teedee Posted April 2, 2006 #12 Share Posted April 2, 2006 Wel I'm glad to see this thread is mostly positive. I have wondered why folks who have nothing good to say about Celebrity continue to hang around. One of life's mysteries I guess. Terri
cechase Posted April 2, 2006 #13 Share Posted April 2, 2006 Hey Mitch, and Jody too! Huggs from Charlie and Nedra! Did you know that our old roll call for Galaxy is still going? Even Jerry Kincannon piped in. Up above on a thread about Mercury, an OP just ripped Mercury up and down. Similar to the threads about Century and Galaxy before we cruised on them. Based on our experiences, they were full of BS!
chicagolass Posted April 2, 2006 #14 Share Posted April 2, 2006 Teedee, It's because that's what "critics" do best. But you can always turn the lemon into lemonade. No mystery! That's the fun part!
chicagolass Posted April 2, 2006 #15 Share Posted April 2, 2006 Hi Libramitch, Do you mean --the horses are whinnying--in a high-pitched-- NEIGH- And, if the horseshoe fits then wear it. I'm just kidding around.
libramitch Posted April 2, 2006 Author #16 Share Posted April 2, 2006 board). Have been keeping up with our thread for the Galaxy. It is pretty amazing that is still going. At the rate some go on and on, we will soon be able to book X ships and have them all to ourselves. Our secret plan Charlie to be able to get deck chairs and not have to wait for martinies at the martini bar seems to be working. :D Should we let teedee and chicago in on our secret conspiracy to take over x? cechase Posted April 3, 2006 #19 Share Posted April 3, 2006 We would just like all of the posters on this thread to know how positive our experiences have been on Celebrity. We are seniors, who have never before flown into Rome. We were on Delta in business class, and Mitch's partner Jody was also in business class on our flight. We were able to meet en flight, and he was such an elegant gentleman. When we got to Rome, we just did not know where to go. This young man, escorted us down to baggage, and then escorted us to our transfer. What a relief, but also we were so appreciative. From now on, when your read a post from Mitch, just be reminded that he and Jody are pure quality and wonderful people. Actually, everyone in our huge CC connections group loved them. Ships R Great Posted April 3, 2006 #20 Share Posted April 3, 2006 Hey, Charlie! Patty here. I did not think to pop over to Galaxy and see if our thread was still up. I'm going over there right now. How is your sweet Nedra?
cechase Posted April 3, 2006 #21 Share Posted April 3, 2006 Nedra is doing just fine, and packing for our trip to Kauai in eight days. As you remember, 2005 for her was a real downer, and she so much misses her sister and her loveable Maggie. Right now, we are sort of lagging on our travel planning, only have 8 nights in Kauai in April, a tower suite at Mirage in Lost Wages for her birthday in May, a 10 night cruise to Alaska on Infinity, and in December a 9 night cruise out of Barbados on Silver Sea's Silver Shadow. Some how I have fallen down on our travel planning :D But, also sometimes things do not work out! Several weeks ago we got an eight week old schnazuer female puppy hoping that she would replace Maggie in Nedra's heart. The puppy was very sweet, however was always in Henry's face, constantly jumping at him, and trying to get his tail which on a long hair dachshund is very grand, and getting up at three in the morning, etc. Nedra made the decision to return her to the owner. After a week, all three of us were worn out. As to our Galaxy group, it was almost magical - so many really great people, and so many new friendships. We still talk about and miss them.
