Pattis61 Posted April 25, 2006 #26 Share Posted April 25, 2006 We were on the Radiance last April. The compasses, which I still have, state 2 formal and 5 casuals. No "smart casual" was mentioned.
Casey2 Posted April 25, 2006 #27 Share Posted April 25, 2006 We were on the Radiance last September. While the docs said there would be a smart casual night, most people dressed casual.
gratefulguy Posted April 26, 2006 #28 Share Posted April 26, 2006 There may be two factors which would influence your packing list that haven't been fully hashed over yet!! One is the temperature difference between Springtime in Aruba and Anytime on the Atlantic. Your DH might be glad to have something a bit warmer (sport jacket) instead of having to put on a raincoat/windbreaker, etc. just to get from your cabin to the dining room, or to stroll on deck after dinner. Two, will you want to dine out in the London area where it might be cool at night, and where some people still dress less casually for restaurant meals? You wouldn't want to forego going to a really nice place just because you felt under-dressed. It seems from your posts that you are aware of the difference your attire makes on your comfort level--especially when being in a new place, or meeting new people. Some of the answers to your posts were from people who may have been cruising in a different climate, or who prefer more casual dress at home, too. Hope you enjoy your visit to the US, and have a smooth crossing!
