stephanie76 Posted April 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2006 Does anyone have any experience with this excursion through carnival? The description says it visits 2 sites on w/ stingrays and nurse sharks the other a reef. I am interested in this one because my 7 year old can go with our group. I really want to see some beautiful fish. Any and all input will be greatly appreciated.

captNcrunch Posted April 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2006 I am not familiar with the trip offered by Carnival, however I have been to shark ray alley which is what I assume you are refering to. This being the case there is NO WAY a 7 year old could swim in this environment. It is a off shore reef the currents are very strong. The boat ride to get there is over an hour long. Steve O Posted April 28, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 28, 2006 There are 2 shark ray alleys in Belize - one is near the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, I believe, the other close to Caye Caulker. We were at the Caye Caulker one and it was really mellow, current -wise. The other is known for its strong current. kathie
