Glacier Trekking, Crab Legs and Mercury

On Mercury at the end of May. I'm planning on booking the Glacier Trekking tour (2 hrs on the glacier) through NorthStar. If I do the 2pm flight, I won't be back until 6:30pm. Since we have main seating, we'll be missing dinner in the dining room that night. I heard that the day Mercury is docked in Juneau is usually the night they have crab legs in the dining room. DH will be quite disappointed if we miss the crab legs. Does anyone know if crab legs are served at the alternate dining area? Can I ask our waiter to save some for the next night? I am already having a hard time convincing DH to spend the money on this excursion (I know he'll love it and think it's worth it after the fact). If he finds out we'll miss the crab legs, he'll never go for it. Sounds silly but he'll use any excuse to keep from spending the money.
