Captains Dinner Long Dresses ????

Okay, I am down to the wire and totally confused!

 

Do a lot of woman really wear long dresses at the Captains dinner?

 

I scored 2 evening dresses 1 long, 1 short, just thought I'd bring the short one and wear a dress to the semi formal.

 

Of course everything is down to the last few days?

 

So please give me your input, we leave here Friday

I have always worn a long dress for both formal nights..especially the Captains night...in past cruises, I have seen the majority of women wearing long gowns or long skirts with dressy blouses.

I wear cocktail-length dresses, but I've seen a fair number wearing long dresses as well. Go with what's comfortable for you - and have fun!

I've been on 9 cruises and i've never felt the need to wear a long dress. It really is up to you. On the cruises that I've been on most women wear cocktail dresses and alot of them wore fancy smancy pant suits. However, I always see the women in the long dresses and I think they look elegant.

I ALWAYS wear long dresses on formal nights - even on 3 day cruises. It's probably one of the only times you'll be able to wear them!

On our 7 night cruise I wore a long dress one night and a cocktail dress the second formal night. I didn't feel out of place at all in either. You will see that there is a mix - no right or wrong. Have fun!!

You'll be fine in a cocktail length dress. I think the people who are concerned, are never the ones with a problem.
