How far to Galveston?

Just got back last week from my first cruise ever and had an absolute blast!!! Ready to book my next one!! Yup I'm hooked!! Looking at the Conquest out of Galveston. I will have to fly into Houston. A couple of questions. How far is it from Houston to Galveston and what is the best way to get there? Thanks for all the help.

it is about 50 miles, you will find the most information in the port of call section, lots of transport options.

Depends on which airport you fly into. If you fly into Houston Hobby, Galveston is a straight shot on 45 South probably about 30 minute drive. Seems like I 45 traffic is always jammed up !!!

 

If you fly into George Bush Intercontinental Airport your best bet is to take Beltway 8 to I 45 South to Galveston, that will take you about an hour maybe a little more.
