Guest rfrenchbaxter Posted April 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2006 I laid all of my outfits out and tried to find something that would match with about everything. I ended up wearing a neutral color by Opi. Be sure to take the bottle with you I had to touch mine up several times over a nine day cruise. mrsred Posted April 6, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2006 My salon only carries essie brand nailpolish. What color do your wear on your toes and hands? I've worn Essie's "It's delicate" on my finger nails (very light pinkish beige color), but it's usually very, very red on my toe nails (usually OPI...don't know any of Essie's other colors). ~e
cowprintrabbit Posted April 6, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2006 On a Cruise?? Natural shaded French Manicure on hands (Not Bridal White, but natural) and bright glossy red on my toes!!!! Ditto on the hands (unless I'm diving, then it's clear or none) but the most tropical feisty coral shade I can find for my toes:D Hey, I'm from WA - we don't see our toes most of the year... Jane110 Posted April 7, 2006 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2006 TravelinLady, I wear a white/pink/natural shade on my hands - colors ...Like Linen, Marshmallow, Ballerina. On my toes, I use OPI's Kennebunkport which is a cranberry red. Good advice to take a bottle with you in case of touch-ups. It struck me that while you're "worried" about what color for your pedicure, others have posted from time to time "no one looks at my shoes, so it's unimportant what I wear". I'm with you and never subscribed to that way of thinking! Have a great cruise, Twinkle Toes
ashleytera Posted April 9, 2006 #7 Share Posted April 9, 2006 i usually get a french manicure and pedicure before i leave. however, after a few days of ocean water, it starts to peel. so i take a pinkish color and do it myself for the remaining days. Arubalisa Posted April 9, 2006 #8 Share Posted April 9, 2006 Boy, those American and French manicures seem to be extremely popular lately. EVERYONE on Christmas cruises wear red... ~ho hum~...I guess I just like to be different  For me, like Christine, on a cruise or tropical vacation it is always a bold bright coral for me! PAISANO Posted April 9, 2006 #9 Share Posted April 9, 2006 Natural french manicure, and red on toes. Something my manicurist told me do was bring a bottle of non yellowing top coat. About every 3 days I put a coat on and I have never had to touch up the color. Even on my 12 day cruise my nails still looked good.

Ehpride Posted April 10, 2006 #11 Share Posted April 10, 2006 On my fingers, I just go natural...no clear or anything. On my toes, I almost always wear red, regardless of the season. Sometimes it's a pinky red or sometimes a true red, but almost always red. I just think it looks best on my feet!
