Ltvscout Posted April 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2006 I'm wondering if there are any noise issues from above in rooms 1038/1040 or noise from the Centrum in 9584/9586? How many chairs/tables are on Junior Suite balconies and how many on the mid-hump balconies? Can the balcony dividers on these ships be opened like they can on Spirit class Carnival ships? Approximately how far does the overhang jut out above the 1038/1040 balconies? What perks if any other than a larger room (like priority embarkation/debarkation, etc) does a Junior Suite give you? Does the air conditioning turn off when the balcony door is opened? How many 110v outlets are in these rooms and where are they located? Will the room steward bring you a cooler if you ask for one? Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on these questions.
Enchantment 04 Posted April 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2006 9586 IS A GREAT ROOM!!! I stayed in that room in December on the Jewel. The views from the balcony are great!! You can see straight down to the water, to the left, the right, and up. The hallway is normal and is not open. There is a wall blocking the centrum so you cant hear a sound at all! This cabin is awesome!
paul_a142 Posted April 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2006 We were on Serenade in January around the Southern caribbean in a JS 1546 I'm wondering if there are any noise issues from above in rooms 1038/1040 or noise from the Centrum in 9584/9586? You won't have a problem with noise because there is a wall between the corridor and centrum. How many chairs/tables are on Junior Suite balconies and how many on the mid-hump balconies? 2 Chairs and a small table Can the balcony dividers on these ships be opened like they can on Spirit class Carnival ships? No at least not between 1546/1548 Approximately how far does the overhang jut out above the 1038/1040 balconies It is quite a distance guessing at about 15-20 feet, one of the downsides of this class What perks if any other than a larger room (like priority embarkation/debarkation, etc) does a Junior Suite give you? We boarded in San Juan and there was a dedicated desk for suites, however as there was hardly anyone checking in it wasn't an issue. Disembark is down to the colour allocation. Does the air conditioning turn off when the balcony door is opened Yes it does How many 110v outlets are in these rooms and where are they located There are a couple and are in the vicinity of the main mirror area opposite the bed. Will the room steward bring you a cooler if you ask for one Not sure as we didn't ask for one, but no doubt someone here will be able to give a definate answer. oxylady Posted April 9, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2006 We were in 1540 on the starboard side of Radiance of the Seas for our Alaska cruise. The overhang is definitely a good 10 feet. No sun if you are thinking Caribbean. We did get priority boarding and had concierge lounge privileges which we did take advantage of. Loved our cabin and would do it all over again.
