licence for waverunners in cococay? what kind?

My mother and I have decided to do the waverunner tour while we at at cococay in june. one question though..... I have a utah driver's licence( I am 18 by the way) but do I have to have a licence to operate a jet ski before going on this? do you just have to have a driver's licence? thanks for the info!!

From RCI Excursion Website: Minimum age to drive is 16 years with a valid drivers license. If under 21 years, must show proof of license.

They only require a driver's license, and they do a little safety class with you before you start

Just be forewarned, it's a full throttle tour! It's insane and fast, and I'm so glad my husband was the one doing the driving. LOL We had some pretty rough seas that day though. There are 5 stops along the way though, and the seeing the starfish on the ocean floor was worth the sore arm muscles I got from holding on for dear life.
