Jewel Dining with Kids

We are going on the Jewel next week. We are a group of 7 - 4 adults and 3 kids. Does anyone know...if we dine at Cagney's and the kids only order chicken fingers or something, do we still pay the fee for their meals?

Yes. I just got off of the Jewel yesterday, and the kids will be charged even if they order off the kid menu.

Now that is a change in NCL policy!! In the past, if kids order off the Kids Menu in any restaurant, then there is no charge. The Kids Menu is the same in every restaurant on board so it seem kind of ridiculous to charge in a specialty restaurant when you could get the same meal for free in one of the main restaurants!

It does sound silly that they would charge full price, but maybe it is because the kids are still taking up a seat in the restaurant? From what I've read, these restaurants are very busy.

Hi... we just sailed the Jewel the week of 3-26. We took our daughter to Cagney's and she ordered off the children's menu (the same children's menu offered in all restaurants). We WERE NOT charged for her meal.
