bevtoy Posted April 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2006 Is this a good hotel? Is there one you think is better? We want to stay ocean front the night before our cruise. They offer free parking while you cruise, plus they have complimentary shuttle service to and from Port Canaveral.
39Scuba Posted April 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2006 We just stayed at the Holiday Inn on our Priority club reward points and paid the $48 bucks to park over at the terminal.....took us 30 minutes from the time we left the dining room to the time we were driving out of there. It's a snap.
bevtoy Posted April 12, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted April 12, 2006 :)I understand its 12 dollars per night for Port Canaveral parking? At 7 nights we are looking at 84 dollars, might as well get a room.......

They offer free parking while you cruise, plus they have complimentary shuttle service to and from Port Canaveral. I was looking into booking that hotel for our cruise in November. It looked good from the website but I was looking through the postings on this website and came across this review from somebody in April '04. Needless to say, we aren't staying there. I booked the Residence Inn in Cocoa Beach (due to open shortly if it hasn't already). Hope this helps! :) "We stayed there prior to our Western Magic Cruise last week. I would not reccomend it. It was very old and dingy. The rooms smelled very musty, though being in florida and that near the ocean I can see why. The pool is very average. We paid $100/night and I expected much more. The bathrooms were pretty gross (rust, plaster falling off walls, etc.). Now, mind you, we are not picky or snobs and did not complain about anything to management. We just chalked it up to, well, bad choice, it can only get better from here. And it did! It was in a great location, 1 block from beach, right next to RonJons, and across the street from a McD's and large grocery store. But for the money, we could have done much better. We mostly laughed about it, my travel companions gave me the "Crappy Hotel" award and we made the best of it. I'd go with something else."
39Scuba Posted April 13, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2006 But we were on a 4 night cruise. If you're going on a 7, it might be worth it I supppose.
bevtoy Posted April 13, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted April 13, 2006 Needless to say I will find another hotel, it sure pays to research! I looked on line and found a others saying the hotel in question is dirty and run down. Thanks!
nato Posted June 13, 2006 #7 Share Posted June 13, 2006 We stayed here on June 2, 2006 and it was the most disgusting hotel I have ever been in. It was dirty, moldy, and smelled of urine! I would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel.
