Straws In Fancy Drinks

I was reading a Cruise Review recently and can't even tell you the name of the Carnival Ship the person was on, but they mentioned that Carnival did not have any straws for the fancy drinks. Is this a new thing on Carnival or was it just a fluke that this Cruise had no straws. This person mentioned stopping at a store in town during port call and buying straws for their drinks.

All of our drinks frozen or otherwise had straws in them, except the buckets of beer. Those come with a funnel, or do you drink them on the funnel deck, dang now I'm confused again.:D

We had straws on the Conquest, complete with the curly-cue half-wrapper left on top. :D

I asked for 2 straws and they even threw in a bonus umbrella.

Thank you, I thought it was just a fluke,,, but it was in a cruise review so

figured I would ask the question... Since the airlines are cutting back on everything you never know what the cruise line will cut out..!!!!!
