Sky Sweet Posted April 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2006 It is usually advisable to book a cruise for a popular itinerary as early as possible to get the best rates. However, do you think all the negative publicity about ships afflicted with the Norwalk Virus, the fire aboard Princess, and passengers disappearing at sea. will have an adverse affect on demand for cruises next summer, resulting in lower prices? CruisenFunToo Posted April 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2006 No, these have been issue for ever, however the fact that the number of rooms is up do to new ships may have a slight factor... not likely tho.

Hi Sky ! While we never know what the future holds, Cruising is as popular as ever right now. It is unlikely that the Princess fire, and some cases of Norwalk will most vacationers from Cruising. I am sure all of us would like prices to come down, but for now, I wouldnt hold my breath on that happening. I would suggest to book what you want, and make your deposit. If the price comes down before final payment date, you can always get the price adjusted accordingly. Enjoy your Cruise !
