Momof2kids Posted April 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2006 We'll be in St. Thomas in a couple weeks on NCL's Dawn. I'd like to take our two young kids (4 and 2) to Magen's Bay for 2-3 hours. I've read here that the taxi fare is $8 pp from the pier to Magen's Bay. Is there plenty of availability of taxis picking up at Magen's Bay? I've read that it's a popular beach, so would assume so, but want to make sure that we won't get stuck at the beach if the kids start to get cranky. Thanks! The Islander Posted April 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2006 Yes, there is a taxi stand area at Magens Bay so they are readily available when you are ready to leave. --Islander *****

loves cruising Posted April 12, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2006 Mom of 2 - Hold onto your kids tight on your taxi ride. They are open taxis and we had a blast on the ride to Magens Bay but there was a grown man on this ride with us that screamed like a little girl(my 5 yr old thought he was hilarious). There were a few spots on the winding, narrow roads that made my heart beat a little faster than normal! Have fun!
etravel Posted April 13, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2006 How long does it take to get to Magen's Bay from the Pier?????
The Islander Posted April 13, 2006 #6 Share Posted April 13, 2006 Havensight to Magens Bay - about 15 minutes. Crown Bay to Magens Bay - about 25 minutes. (time is in low-medium traffic; lunch time and afternoon traffic downtown & around Havensight will make the time longer). --Islander *****
