Upsell Question

Do you have to have a TA to get an upsell deal? Do they call you or do you call the cruise line? Booking for Hawaii (october 2007)and was wondering if we should do GTY or can you do GTY and upsell? Thanks

No, you do not have to have a TA to get an upsell. If you do have a TA NCl will not deal directly with you. NCL will go through the TA. If you book directly with NCL they will call you directly.

 

Generally upsells do not happen until after final payment but I have read some are contacted earlier but I think that is unusual. I cant help you with the gty thing. We booked specific rooms on our cruise.

 

Do a CC search and you will find tons of previous upsell posts.

If you have a TA - he/she must negotiate the upsell.

 

On a Gty, I believe you can only upgrade within your cabin range.

Unless, of course, they just "upgrade" you automatically.

For sure, a crap-shoot on a Gty.

 

An upsell...let your travel agent or NCL know what you want to do.
