Checking internet agencies for pricing and they are exactly the same as the Celebrity site. Why is that??

Because TA's are no longer allowed to discount Celebrity and RCI cruises. I believe this went into effect a couple of months ago. The only way a TA can get you a better price is to rebate part of their commission to you, the customer. Otherwise, prices will be exactly what the cruiseline advertises.

this has been giung on for over a year. there are at least 2 ways to get discounts however:

 

a) TA's get blocks of rooms from X ( at good prices)

 

b) when ship's not filling up well ( or per plan) X runs "happy hour specials", than can significantly lower the price. You have to be receiving regular e mail from some of the internet TA's to be made aware of these!

I'm on the Oct 5 sailing on the Constellation. According to the X web site it's close to sold out. I've been told Canada/New England is a very popular cruise. I book directly with X since there are no discounts and that way If I want to call X and change anything I can do it myself. I changed my cabin once to a better one as it became available. Good luck getting what you want.
