Parking at Port Canaveral

They offer parking at the pier. Where are you driving from? Are you driving on the day of departure? If not, I would suggest staying at a local hotel that offers parking during cruise with free shuttle drop-off and pickup.

We are staying at the Raddison so we can see the Glory come into port. :D

There are a few hotels that offer free parking if you spend the night there. Comfort Inn is one of them.

I also would like to see some alternative parking at Port Canaveral! It was bad enough when it was $10/day, but now at $12/day it is getting to be a major factor in the cost of a cruise. I've even looked into parking at MCO (off-site) for $5/day and then taking a transfer bus to the port. I don't know if it's worth the couple of bucks you save, and if there are more than one traveling, it definitely isn't worth it. Seems there is a market for someone to open an "off-port" parking lot; but the Port Authority charges any business who drops and picks-up at the port; so they can make it not cost effective. Other than the motels who offer free parking for overnight guests, I don't know of any alternative. Does anyone else?
