San Gervasio and Dzul Ha

We would like to see the San Gervasio ruins and snorkel at Dzul Ha. We will be docked in Cozumel from 10:00-7:00. What is the best way to get around and which should we do first SG or DH? Thanks.

On our last visit to Cozumel, we taxied to Dzul Ha as soon as we could get off the ship. We were the first ones there and had great water clarity and no competition with the snorkel tour boats that arrived after 10am. We brought our own gear and used the access ramp to get into the water. After our first dive, the gift shop/snack bar was open so we could have a couple of beers. One thing we have heard on the boards was that Dzul Ha was "wiped clean" of coral by Wilma last year. You may want to check a local dive shop to confirm the conditions at this time. We have never done the Ruins so I am sorry we can't much help there. We can reccomend Paradise Beach as an excellent location to swin, sunbath and have lunch. They also offer a two hour reef snorkeling tour for $35US which we plan to do on our next visit in September. Have a wonderful cruise!
