Doug&Suzy-Q Posted April 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2006 I have been going around with the car broker for St. Maarten. Found out they are in Spain:eek: OK no problem, went on the Budget web site, same thing...... however......I want to rent a car in St. Maarten, the Glory docks in Philipsburg, I assume. For Budget, their pick up location choices are: (1) St. Maarten Downtown (2) Great Bay Marina (3) Philipsburg Station. Looking at the maps I can't figure out which of the 3 would be the appropriate pick up location. Can anyone help???:D I sure would appreciate it. Also does anyone have a really detailed map web site? I found a couple but not detailed enough that I can solve this problem. Thanks everyone:)
Hootsie Posted April 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2006 We picked up our car right at the port. There's a car rental place (various agencies) right when you get off the ship. Walk out of the fence area and take a sharp right. We didn't even have one reserved and needed a van since we had 6 people. No problem at all. Jason's Storm Posted April 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2006 Use location code "SX3". That is Budget's code for their location at the Phillpsburg pier. ~JS
Doug&Suzy-Q Posted April 21, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted April 21, 2006 Thanks, I tried the SX3 everyplace I could on Budget.com. They will not accept it.
Jason's Storm Posted April 21, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2006 Budget.com On the far left side under "pick up location" put sx3 (or put Phillpsburg, netherland antilles (A.K.A. Dutch St. Martin) then it won't recognize it so then you can select the country, select St. Maarten Dutch, select Phillpsburg [don't click on the airport one which is "SXM"] and then on the next page you can select "Cruise Ship port") put in the times and dates you are going to be there and hit return. If that won't help then it is something with your computer or something "else". ~JS
