Panama Canal 12-28-04

Recommended Posts

Also did the New Years cruise last year aboard Voyager. We started thru the canal from the north side at @ 0600 New Years Eve. Got thru the Gatun locks @ 1000 and spent @ 4 hours at the Gatun Yacht Basin. Then we pressed on and went thru the Miraflores locks after dark. Arrived on the other side @ 2200 and spent thru @0200 fueling. So, we had a nice calm New Years Eve party at anchor. Food was great, as usual, and we danced the night away afterwards. Weather was fantastic! You'll really enjoy going thru the Gatun locks. Get a seat outside at La Verandah and you can watch the whole thing. Got some great movies!

Is this the Voyager cruise? We'll be on that Dec 19 - Jan 5 but there seems to be an option to for 2 shorter crusies out of the same trip. We are looking forward to spending both Christmas and New Year's at sea.
