Yes, that is correct. The ones I stole were left on the bathroom floor and replaced with nice new-smelling carnival ones.:D :p

Good for you :D Perhaps people will eventually realize that those towels are not their property, and if they don't keep an eye on them, someone else might just walk off with them :D Tough cookies I say

Priceless!

And how it the world can it be called stealing if it's just left there for everyone to take. Surely no one would just leave all that stuff there while they went to eat, sleep, swim, take a tour, play at the casino, etc.

The following are things for those who want to leave stuff for everyone to use: Good strong suntan lotion, good sunglasses, couple of extra towels, a good mystery novel (maybe two), S&S card, bucket of cold beer, size 11 sandels, two rolls of quarters, reservations at the Point for two, paid tours at all ports and some cash for souviners. I can handle the rest. Just leave the stuff on a chair by the pool. Thanks so much!!:p:p

OK, seems like we'll need 3 buckets of beer now.

Please chair hogs you need to take notes. I'm sure the want list is going to grow.:p And for all others that have needs PLEASE don't take the buckets of beer to Lost & Found!;)

VentureMan, there seems to be some really good stuff on the Liberty. High quality! It would be worth the price of the cruise to check it out.

cruisn doodles, there were some cute flip flops on the Liberty. I saw several pairs there for over 4 hours.

Would be fun to type up some cards that say:

"These items have been here since ________ (write in the time) and will be removed after 1/2 hour. Chairs are not to be saved!"

Then leave these on chairs with items on them and maybe they will get the message. I have removed items and set them on other chairs before after observing no one around for a while. If people come back I tell them there was nothing on the chair when I got there, someone else must have removed their things, but most people don't ask as they know they are in the wrong.

Great thread, lol!!!!!!!

We do the same thing with Carnival towels. When we'd lose one of ours, we'd never panic. There was plenty on chairs down by the pool. We have never had to pay the lost towel fee yet and we travel with our kids who leave them all over the ship. Works for us!

And no, we didn't steal the towels. We FOUND them and RETURNED them to Carnival. We were doing the ship a favor!

Thanks for the tip. We will be on the Victory in July and look forward to the same type of finds you did. I think I may need to bring an emoty suitcase to put all the treasures in.......

I will be on the Victory in July also.........and looking for freebies!

Wow I love free things. I'm so glad you shared this wonderful information with all of us. I will make sure I bring an empty suitcase so I can bring home all those free towels. They will be good gifts. I'm hoping to get a lovely free pair of designer sunglasses. Dior maybe??? Flip flops I'll probably pass on those because I have lots of those. Books are always great.

Once again thanks for sharing :D

If one of you happened to find my brand new Sony digital Handy Cam I will more than happy to send you the battery charger if you will leave your name and address. I did leave it on the chair so that someone less fortunate than I could enjoy taking some great video.

Well, as a member of bookcrossing.com, I'll have a few choice books which will leave around the ship so people can get them and, hopefully, release them into the wild in their local area (state, country, etc.) and that will be really exciting! So, what kinds of books are most popular for you chair-hog-thieves, eh? I've got some sci-fi, some mystery, some fantasy ... scratch that ... you're not getting my fantasy books. :-D

Oh my.......decisions, decisions.
