I sent this query To the Office of Princess Cruises in the UK

Could you tell me if my ship board account paid by Credit

Card will be charged by you in GBP from your British office,

or USD from your American office.

 

This is the reply I recived from them to day

 

In respect of your comments about the exchange rates charges

on board, we can confirm that this is a new Princess Cruises

policy, whereby passenger’s accounts will be settled in the

currency of their card issuer. However, passengers can opt out

of this policy simply by advising the purser’s desk at the time

of registering their credit card.

 

I hope this might help anyone that might be wondering in which

currency their ship board will be charged
