They should work pretty well.

I have had some people report problems from the lower inside rooms to the Lido, but others had no problems.

Hi...I just used some 8 mile range walkie talkies on the Conquest. They aren't fool proof. At least they weren't for me and my 11 year old daughter. But I must tell you that I did not know what I was doing, ie, setting channels, locking channel (learned that the last day), privacy codes, etc. 50% of the time that I tried to call her... I got her. It was frustrating. But I would say that if you know how to use these things or educate yourself prior, using the 6 mile would be fine. Also, if you or she/he are in a loud place, I would suggest to use the tiny earphone. Its hard to hear when theres alot of commotion around.

Plus you will be considerate of other people around you not having to hear the "snap crackle pop".....:)

I agree I hate to hear other people's walkie talkie and cell phone conversations.
