txwildflower2002 Posted April 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2006 We don't know what to do in the Caymans. Thought we would get off ship later, than earlier for less frazzeled tendering. Are there people who sell tours at the dock? I heard that you can do the stinrays for $25pp. Inquireing minds want to know!
Rare babyclaytonmom Posted April 26, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2006 Yes, last July we were there and there were numerous local tour companies standing at the pier. Couldnt tell you what company we went with but I think we paid around $30 or $35 for a stingray city and reef snorkeling stops.

Have fun.
toledo Posted April 26, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2006 I tried to book a tour at the docks and was very disappointed. Only one company was there (someone I'd never heard of) and I got the feeling it they took out a very big group and their price was $35 or $40. I went to a Grand Cayman information booth and they called Captain Marvins for me, but claimed they were all booked up. She then recommended Captain Crosby. The normal price was $30, but they added $5 per ticket for using a credit card and $5 per ticket for her commission. Captain Crosby was a small group, but I think there are better operators. I'd book in advance. Also, if you wait too long to get off the boat, you won't have time to get to Stingray City.
