Administrators Rare LauraS Posted April 25, 2006 Administrators #1 Share Posted April 25, 2006 There so much happening, we just had to open a special forum just to capture all that Freedom Frenzy. And that's where you'll find our Cruise Critic Editors Carolyn Spencer Brown and Melissa Baldwin, whowill both be cruisin' on Freedom of the Seas and will track down answers for you. Simply post your question here; beginning May 12 we'll be posting answers. (One note, folks: While we they'll be looking at the new cabin categories, they cannot answer questions about specific, individual staterooms). Were YOU one of the lucky Diamond or Diamond Plus C&A Members who were invited on board? Start a new thread on Freedom Frenzy and post *your* review -- or better yet, post right from Freedom of the Seas. Wait! How about uploading a photo too! Come on-- share with everyone who didn't get invited! Stop by Freedom Frenzy today! Laura
Schplinky Posted April 26, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2006 On the deck plans, there is a place in the Royal Promenade called Get Out There. It doesn't "seem" to be the excursions desk or logo shop so I'm wondering what it is. It's on Deck 5 near the barber shop.
HumanCookie Posted April 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2006 According to "Aquarius2", it is a shop that offers outdoor-gear.
Schplinky Posted April 26, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2006 Yes, I saw that after I posted here. I wold like to know if that means jackets and stuff like that or dive shop gear.
HumanCookie Posted April 26, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 26, 2006 More likely an REI or LLBean type of store.

FjordViking Posted April 26, 2006 #7 Share Posted April 26, 2006 The norwegian newspaper VG has a web tv report from Freedom of the Sea`s visit to Oslo today. You get to see a lot from the ship, Even if You don`t understand norwegian... Cdn Trekkie Posted April 26, 2006 #8 Share Posted April 26, 2006  Just wondering if Johnny Rockets is on the FOS? My kids loved it and the shakes are a meal in itself! I haven't seen anything that indicates or has shown that it is on this ship.

cruzrus Posted April 27, 2006 #13 Share Posted April 27, 2006 A Thousand thanks! Loved "seeing" the FOS for the first time, especially when it was in the langauge of my parents. It was a refresh course in Norwegian. Dad was born in Stavanger and Mom was born in Skudesnes Haven. We sail on June 18 and all of these little peeks into the interior is making me more eager to set sail. Tak for all!

buchie614 Posted April 27, 2006 #15 Share Posted April 27, 2006 won our way aboard the 6/4/06 sailing, can't wait, I am so excited, we had to pay for flight, taxes and port charges, and upgraded cabin from swimming with the fishes to a balcony, but hey, it was worth it, a lot cheaper than paying for it. BoozeCruise2 Posted April 28, 2006 #16 Share Posted April 28, 2006 The FOS seemed to have the fitness oriented person in mind on this ship, hench the boxing ring, and protein shake bar. I am so pumped!!! Can someone explain the rates for boxing, the quality of instruction, and if sparring will be allowed. Thanks! Anything regarding the fitness topic would be appreciated from the gym, to classes etc. Mostly focused on the boxing though! BC2

I will try to post pictures when we return. If you could find out the names of all the bars, that would be great! I'm putting together a "pub/bar crawl" for the family in my party, and I would like to make up cards with the names of all the bars. Looking at the deck plans, I came up with the following list. (am I missing any?) deck 14 Cloud9 Olive or Twist Viking Crown Lounge Seven Hearts The Diamond Club deck 12 Sky Bar deck 11 Pool Bar The Plaza Bar deck 10 Concierge Club (which I know is only open to suite guests and Diamond members so I really won't be counting that for our bar crawl) deck 5 Connoisseur Club Pharaohs Palace ? Bull & Bear Pub Vintages Champagne Bar deck 4 Schooner Bar The Crypt Casino Bar Boleros deck 3 Terra ? Cielo? (Not sure if those are bars, or something else) If you notice that I've missed any, please let me know. THANK YOU very much, in advance, for whatever you can find out for me.:D

MEGADAN Posted April 29, 2006 #21 Share Posted April 29, 2006 I would love to see the menus. I'm not sure if you will have the regular menus but please be sure to post some information on that. Thanks and Enjoy!

crusinmama06 Posted April 29, 2006 #23 Share Posted April 29, 2006 Ok, need someone to answer for once and for all....will the H2O Zone have salt or fresh water? Some say fresh (filtered salt) because using salt water would gunk up the mechanics of fountains. Some say salt because all pools are salt pools on RCCL. ALSO, for the family cruisers here. Are there ANY small paddle pool areas that are for diapered babies/toddlers like the Disney Magic has onboard. Thanks for getting the answers. :D
MszKitty Posted April 29, 2006 #24 Share Posted April 29, 2006 I will take your list and see what, if any, I can add to it. Bookbug53....Thanks so much for whatever you find out. I see you are getting a lot of requests for info...and you will probably get even more now that you've put the offer out there...LOL. So, if you get overwhelmed with info requests, and you don't get to my list (which I know is asking a lot as you would have to walk the entire ship, checking off my list), I totally understand and thank you for at least making the offer to help. Just have a great time!

Just have a great time! I intend to walk every inch that I can! Checking out the bars won't be a hardship. After all that walking I will need a little refreshment. I don't know what the menu set up will be but will get what I can. Pool check on the way. So far: bars pools food Sounds like my typical cruise!
