It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that airfares must increase in the future.

It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that airfares must increase in the future.

 

It certainly seems to be a surprise to many. And what some fail to realize is that it is NOT only the cost of fuel, but the fact the airlines have been selling tickets below operating costs for a looong time. Ticket prices needed to increase just to break even, not counting the increase in fuel.
