Questions from a new cruiser

This may be a stupid question, but when using the room safe you say any card with a magnetic strip will open the safe? Does the safe memorize the card you are using or something? I mean to me, it would not be much of a safe if any card with a magnetic strip will open it. ......
The card you use to program the safe (be it a CC, gift card, etc.) will be the only card that will open it. When you debark the ship you leave the safe open so the next passenger can re-program it for the card they will use.

:) In Miami we like the Courtyard by Marriott. We have stayed at the downtown location which is so close to the port that the morning of our cruise we awoke to see the ships in port waiting for us. When we sail from Miami on the Triumph in Jan 2007 we have the Courtyard Miami Airport South booked. The hotel is about 2 miles from the airport & 6 miles from the Port of Miami. The price for the 3 of us in one room is $174. including tax. This price includes transfers from the airport to the hotel, a welcome cocktail for each adult upon arrival to the hotel, breakfast buffet the next morning & transfers to the port. Its more than a $65. room but I think the benefits are great & Marriott is always clean.

Whatever you decide have a great cruise. Enjoy!

Holly-

We took the Valor western in December last year. Even though we are from Charleston we took a flight to Miami from Savannah that was very cheap(cheaper than gas and a hotel). You might want to check orbitz for the smaller airports in SC and GA. Unless you want to drive that is. Enjoy your cruise, we loved ours so much we are going to Europe on the Liberty this October.:)
