Jane110 Posted April 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2006 Hi all, People often come to this board and ask for recommendations for Broadway musicals. Since I'm not a big fan of B'way musicals, I rarely jump in. Yesterday, I saw a delightful play and I thought I'd recommend. The History Boys at the Broadhurst Theatre. It's a british comedy about a group of high school boys taking an extra prep class in order to prepare them for the entrance exams for Cambridge or Oxford. It's sharp and quick witted and I just loved it. It's written by Alan Bennet, the same author of Lady in the Van that I saw in London a few years ago and loved. So for those of you who enjoy a good play and might be in NYC during it's run, I highly recommend The History Boys. Jane
