Drink / Soda cards

I am a new cruiser and was wondering if anyone could tell me, when you buy a drink card is that for unlimited drinks or is there a limit and how much does these cost. I know I have read about them someone on here - but I thought it would be easier to just ask in a new thread.

Thanks :)

They are for unlimited glasses of soda. For under 18 they are $4.00 per day with a 15% tip added at time of card purchase. For adults they are $5.50 per day (plus15%). You purchase them for the # of days you'll be on your cruise. They are good almost anywhere on the ship except for room service.

Thank you! I think that may be the way to go for us. My DH has to have a Dr. Pepper every morning and I can't live without my Diet Coke.
Well, there might be a slight problem...... no Dr. Pepper on Carnival (only Coke products). BUT you can bring on a 12 pack or two w/o any problems.

I am a diet coke freak! We purchased twelve packs for the room at a store close to the pier. Put them in a collapsable cooler (that had wheels) from home and checked it like a piece of luggage at the pier.

The steward kept it filled with ice.

The soda cost me $10 for four twelve packs.

Alot cheaper than a soda card for $44 per person plus 15% Gratuity ($101.20)

I usually drink a lot of Cokes, but found with all of the other free drinks on the ship (mostly lemonade and hot chocolate for me) that I only drank 4 or 5 of the Cokes I brought. Of course the Miami Vice's I slurped in the casino and bars helped a bit too :D.

yes but Coke makes Mr. Pibb, which tastes almost exactly the same as Dr. Pepper.

What drinks are free on ship?

Lemonade, fruit punch, milk, coffee and tea. I think hot chocolate too.

If I remember correctly there was pitchers of juice on the breakfast buffet. Like tomato juice and I'm not sure what else.
