Holiday

There have been several threads in recent weeks about the Holiday. You may have to go back many pages to find them though. The ones immediately after the refurb were less than positive, but the more recent reports have been borderline ecstatic. Holiday has only been back in service a month so you'll only need to search in that time frame.

a great time. The ship looked really clean, completely refurbished and no problems that we encountered or heard of. This was our 6th cruise on the Holiday, we really enjoy it because it is much easier to get around on and it has always had a very friendly and courteous crew. This has not changed, the crew is great. They have added a new Vegas type production, Extreme Country to go with Shout. They were both very good, the comedians were very average to us, but everyone has a different taste. The dining room food was outstanding, food on the Lido deck was average, exept for breakfast, which we thought was much better than on previous cruises. They have added a miniature golf on the top deck, and people really seemed to enjoy it. Think you will have a great cruise. Any other questions, please ask, will answer if I can.P.S the Mobile terminal is so easy to get to and the embarkation is the best organized we have evre had.

Just got back from the Holdiay on the 24th. The ship is clean, food was great, and the sun was out the whole trip.

Doc Holiday's is Karoke every night.....on our cruise there were some pretty good singers every night so it was almost as good as a show....of course there were the folks who could use some lessons and the stage hogs who wanted to sing every song, typical karoke bar, but the crowd was lively, some dancing, and lots of booze flowing...we had a great time. never saw anyone at the piano but there was a guy playing guitar and singing just outside the casino/bus bar. The extreme country show was exceptional and Steve Cassell is a great talent---you do not want to miss it.

Had such a great time, we're going back Sept 30 for the 5 day instead of our yearly treck to New England and Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun Casinos.

At the piano bar was a guy named Rick...that's all I know. I went by a few times and there were hardly ever any people there....most were at Doc Holidays.

Oh, Don and Karen.......I was sailing with you!! I think my sister was the kareoke hog! LOL....she is a great singer tho, we were both in the talent show. She got the talent....I just have the guts.

IT was a blast!!

And no your sis was not the "hog" I was talking about...it was a he, was OK, but up there way too often (CM)...there were four of us and one night the other couple with us got up and did a song....she is great...he is big HA....did her harmony....he is a great guitar player and has played with Sammy Davis Jr, toured with Louise Mandrell and others. I wanted to get up but I couldn't get the book....good thing too, I may have run the crowd off.:D

By the way, how bout them Tigers?

So, is there no band on board at all. Last year the Phillipino Band played in Doc Holiday's and were pretty good. Is there a band in the Tahiti lounge? I guess they still have the DJ in Reflections? I don't really care for kareoke(sp), so I will have to find a new place to hang. Maybe I can put a spark in the Piano Bar. Thanks

Yes, there was a band playing on the Lido deck a couple of times.....can't tell you much about them as I was amongst the Kareoke crowd. :D My nephews seemed to enjoy the band tho.....they raved the next morning.

Hey Don and Karen........if you were at the kareoke...then i KNOW you saw my sister. Blond(ish)......from Memphis....her name is Kristi.....and she brought the house down a couple of times!!
