Rhapsody Of The Seas questions

Due to her construction, her "bones" do not lend themsleves to stretching like her half-sister ship Enchantment. She will receive new carpeting, paint, furnishings and bedding. I haven't heard if they are planning to put a specialty restaurant in the present Moonlight Lounge...not likely.

She will be splitting time between Galveston in Summer and NOLA in winter, at least through end of 2008.

She will always be one of our favorite ships...and we recommend her.

My wife and I just returned yesterday from the Carnival Conquest. We kept an open mind and were excited about being on a larger ship. Bigger is not better and Carnival can learn from RCCL.

1st, you had to go to deck 5 to almost the aft of the ship to go to the dinning that was on deck 4. Rhapsody has easier access anywhere on the ship.

2nd, there are 22 bars and/or lounges and only 5 are open before 5 p.m.

3rd, the crew on the Rhapsody is by far more friendlier than the Conquest crew. I always saw smiles on the faces of the Rhapsody crew, not so with the Conquest.

I'm not slamming Carnival, but we do not plan on going back with carnival.

Don't get me wrong we had a good time, but when we've sailed on the Rhapsody we've always had a GREAT time.

The Rhapsody crew and guests are classier than Carnival.

Just our opinion.

We are booked on the Rhapsody for 12-3-2006 and can't wait.

We were on the Rhapsody last week and we in room 7110. The ship does seem to vibrate a bit more than any other cruise I have been on...especially getting out of Galveston. I did notice that our bed comforter was a little worn on the edges and our couch had some darker stains on the corners. Beds were very comfortable. The rugs/carpeting have some spots. Everything was CLEAN and that is what I care about. It is true you will see the same people you met at lunch or by the pool. NO lines and crazy big dancing parties...very relaxing and family oriented...great staff and great food. Easy on and off. Enjoy!!

My wife and I are sailing Rhapsody for the 4th time this September. I agree with the previous posts....there is something special about Rhapsody. The crew is very good and definitely make you feel, as some others have said, at home. We live in Houston which makes her convenient, but we have sailed 2 Carnival ships and the Splendour as well and they just don't compare.

We know that Voyager is coming in late 2007 and that is exciting but we will miss the Rhapsody.

I am so glad that our first RCCL cruise will be on the Rhapsody. I think Bonnie (how you doin') mentioned in an earlier post that of all the Royal ships Rhapsody seems to be far & away the one with the best overall reviews. It must be a Texas thing, or maybe the size of the ship. It does not really matter to me. We will find out soon enough the reason for ourselves.

We are sailing the Rhapsody for the first time next Sunday and are really looking forward to it! At first was a little apprehensive because we have only been on the Voyager Class ships and was a little worried that maybe we would think Rhapsody was small. But we have heard so many great things about the ship and the couple we are sailing with have been on her before and have just raved about the crew. We are from the midwest and are looking to have some fun with all those Texans! We will be in Key West on the Fourth of July and plan to have some fireworks! Will let you know how our trip turns out.

I couldn't agree more with everyone on this thread. We have been on 8 cruises (princess, carnival, RCCL, and Disney). We cruise the Rhapsody last October and it was my favorite cruise. Went on Disney Magic in March and it was very good, but there is something about the Rhapsody that I have never experienced on any other ship. People all seem happy and relaxed. I am going back this October. Can't Wait!! Hopefully the weather will hold out. Last October we barely made it, right in between hurricanes.

Hi pjinaz!

We were on the same cruise last year as well and are trying again this October 15th. I hope we make it too!

I was on the Rhapsody cruise 6/25/06 and had a wonderful time. I agree with everybody raving about the crew. Even though I lost money, I had a blast in the casino at the table games as the dealers were great, especially Daisy and Kelly. I can't wait to go back on the Rhapsody.

I loved the Rhapsody, so much so that I have planned a trip for June 07 with the new itinerary :) Tried to Conquest in May, but wasn't crazy about it - too big and really not much more to do. On that note, I will probably try the Voyager when it comes because of the extra things it offers. I have kids that will love the inline skating, ice skating, rock climbing, etc. They have kept the Rhapsody in great shape, and I look forward to the Solarium where I can escape the kids for a bit!
