Leaving on Monday Sept 11 also on the Millenium. Most of us will be staying just off Los Ramblas by the Gran Via. Looking for that special restaurant too. Any suggestions would be most helpful. hylasgirl Posted April 30, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2006 We were there last year and we ate at Cafe Poma twice... good Paella and I loved their fire oven pizzas. It is about 3/4 the way up Las Ramblas on the left hand side... (if you are heading up the street from Christopher Columbus) The sign on the building has their name and a big outline of an apple. We really enjoyed the restaurant and it was also very medium priced. Nothing was too expensive. Have fun!!! We are heading there in September. I recommend Set Portes (7 Doors) www.setportes.com Large place, been there forever, can handle crowds or or couples. Paella is their speciality and not expensive. Our pre-cruise group of 12 dined there and had a terrific meal and a great time. Jane
superagentnyc Posted May 4, 2006 #6 Share Posted May 4, 2006 My wife and I went to a lovely and intimate restaurant called El Cafeti at 99 C. Hospital (end of passage). Their website is www.elcafeti.com. El Cafeti is known for its rice and paella dishes. We had a delicious dinner and were very well treated by our waiter. My wife really loved it.
