Discounted Parking Near Port Caniveral??

Recommended Posts

I am leaving on the Mariner of the Seas May 7th out of Port Caniveral. After a little research, I discovered parking at the port is $12 dollars a day! I know most hotels around the port let you park for free, but I only live an hour away from the port so I definitely dont need a room. I was wondering if anybody knows of another parking lot that has a shuttle service to the port for a little cheaper. It just seems ridiculous to pay 12 bucks a day for parking. It isnt even that much at the Orlando airport! Thanks!

There are no other parking facilities that I know of in P'Can where you can leave your car without a much higher charge to get it out of impound after it's towed. There's really only a hotel, which means you'll most likely spend more than a weeks parking, or the pier parking.

Hey I just thought of an alternative that might save you a little money and grief. If you know someone that you trust that can ride down with you, since you're only an hour away, then take your car home and come back to get you the next week, that might be do-able, and use less gas than the parking fees would add up to. Another option would be to rent a car in your home town, and turn it in in P'Can, then rent one again for the trip home. I rented a car at Orlando Int APT (MCO) from Budget for $37 down to P'Can and $29 back. No drop off fees, or anything, that might be a good plan for you, although it's almost as much as parking fees.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I didnt even think about renting a car. I have a friend that really likes to gamble who frequently goes to p/c to go on the casino boats. Im hoping I can talk him into taking me and then he can go lose his money on the sun cruz!
